Showing up late: Firstly, I’ve started showing up late for band rehearsals. Now, why do I do this, you may ask? Well... when I arrive on time, I'm always waiting for the band to set up and get their instruments tuned and the right tone or keyboard sound. This always takes way too long for some reason. WHY IS IT SO LONG?
What are they talking about? Sometimes, the melodic instruments
start to learn their parts during the rehearsal, teaching and talking to each
other in another language. Like, what on earth is the 5th tonic chord
of the B-minor moving to the 7th? Like what the huh who do what? So,
what do I do during this long, painstaking period? Well, I certainly don’t play
on the drums while they are talking, unlike most drummers. Instead, I whip out
the angry birds, Pokémon Go, or Clash of Clans and patently await the
conclusion of their gibberish.
